This is a great quilt project for beginners!
It happens every now and then that you find a quilt design that is so simple yet so stunningly effective that you are a little awestruck by it. As a matter of fact, that was exactly the case when we discovered the “Ribbon Box Quilt” designed by Michelle Engel Bencsko for Cloud 9 Fabrics’ Make It Sew Projects line.
It is a beautiful quilt with soft colors and a patchwork feel to it, but one can easily imagine it being made up with brighter fabrics to make a more vibrant quilt. Whatever you decide to do with it, it will make a huge impact wherever you display it.
You will have no trouble piecing this quilt together. Follow the diagrams exactly so that the various fabrics are placed in the right place so that the whole process is as quick as possible.
An emphasis on the quilt’s design is achieved through simple straight line machine sewing and stipple quilting.
It is a pattern that will appeal to both beginning and experienced quilters alike and you will be surprised at how quickly it comes together.
When finished, the quilt measures 55 inches by 63 inches.
