Nifty Nine-Patch Quilt With Scraps!

If you choose your favorite colors, it will be perfect!

Do you find yourself swimming in scraps all the time? As you can see from this picture, this beautiful quilt was made exclusively from scraps of 2 1/2″ squares, along with a background of tone-on-tone white squares.

During the design process, Deb Gehringer, the designer from Monday Morning Designs, decided on a specific combination of colors for each nine-patch block that she wanted to create. In a coordinated scrappy approach, amazing results were achieved as a result.

This is a great project to work on during breaks from other projects when you have a few minutes to spare. Choosing colors and collecting the squares is the first step. Taking a few blocks at a time, sew them together until you have enough blocks.

The quilt Deb made is 96 inches by 104 1/2 inches in size, which makes it a Queen-sized quilt. At the following link, you will be able to find out how it was made.
