COLOR THEMES OF ALL KINDS WILL BE PERFECT FOR THIS!
A stunning quilt like this can open up a myriad of creative quilting possibilities to those who are creative.
There are many ways in which large blocks for stars in two sizes can be used.
You can combine 13 blocks to make a large quilt or just 5 blocks to make a throw.
You can also finish off one of the blocks of each star to make an eye-catching wall or table quilt.
A runner made from three blocks would also be wonderful.
As an added bonus, it will be fun to experiment with different fabrics and colors. I find the quilt to be stunning in solid crayon colors against a black background. Think about switching up the background color or even using prints instead of solids if you want a different look.
The blocks are easier to construct than you might think because of their simplified construction. Squares and half-square triangles create the wonderful design.
For this quilt, the designer, Cindy Carter provides instructions on how to make them in the following sizes:
- Comfort Quilt – 60″ by 60″
- Full Quilt – 90″ by 90″
The unfinished blocks each measure 18.5 inches in diameter.
